I am one of the four Founders of Brunel Capital Partners in 2011. I specialise in retirement and estate planning and head up our investment arm, Brunel Wealth Management. Brunel Wealth Management was set up in 2016 to give our Financial Planning clients a systematic, globally diversified approach to investing that uses index funds to control cost and give the best chance of investment success.

After graduating from the University of Birmingham in 1989, I embarked on long term plans for world travel. Starting in Delhi and heading East, I took in most parts of Asia, Australasia and the Pacific Islands and Los Angeles. On returning to the UK in the early 90s, at the height of a recession, I found financial services and worked for a small IFA practice in the West Country. I joined Chartwell in 1996 and remained there until leaving to create Brunel with my fellow Directors in 2011.

I am married to Pip with two boys, Cormac and Hamish and daughter, Madigan. I am a lifelong supporter of Bath Rugby and play hockey for Reading Hockey Club. In February 2017, I completed my first and last marathon in 4:13:13 with Pip in Seville.

I am one of the four Founders of Brunel Capital Partners in 2011. I specialise in family businesses, agriculture and pre and post retirement planning and oversee service development and partnerships with lawyers and accountants. One of my goals is to continue to attract high quality financial planning professionals to Brunel so that we can consistently enhance and grow our service to clients.

I have provided strategic and practical advice to individuals and families since 1986. I founded Broadoak Group in 1990. It became the Chartwell Group in 2007 and was acquired by Close Brothers in 2010. With each step, the client relationship seemed to get further away. Now, with Brunel, everything is focused on achieving the right outcomes for our clients. Developing life long relationships with clients and their families comes first every time.

I am a member of the Institute of Directors. I have a keen interest in cricket and rugby and keep myself fit running the odd half marathon. Once a year I put in a stint as a milkman at the Glastonbury Festival.

I am one of the four Founders of Brunel Capital Partners in 2011. My goal with Brunel was to return to a small business to work with like-minded people, purely focused on clients thus putting clients at the centre of everything we do. I am both a Financial Planner advising clients and Finance Director helping drive the business to be the very best it can be.

I have been in the Financial Services sector from 1986. After a time at Lloyds Banking group, I co-founded Independent Financial Adviser, Cavendish Grant Ltd, which later became the Chartwell Group in 2000 where I remained until 2011. During this time I acquired a wealth of experience advising private and company clients on all aspects of financial planning. My forte is my ability to work effectively, not only with my clients but also with their other professional advisers, ensuring that legal and taxation issues are fully addressed.

I am married to Dana and we have two boys, Jack and Harry. My time outside of work is spent supporting my two boys in a number of sporting and musical activities and watching Bath Rugby. I am a fair weather Golfer and a keen cyclist who can be found cycling in Majorca or Tenerife once a year with a group of middle aged men in lycra!

I am one of the four Founders of Brunel Capital Partners in 2011. I work with a broad range of clients and specialise in lifestyle financial planning for small business owners. I am passionate about work and love to see clients achieve their goals and dreams through comprehensive financial planning. As Managing Director, I have overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the business.

Those of us who were involved in creating Brunel had all experienced takeovers, which saw us moving from small businesses to large ones. This reduced our ability to put clients at the centre of everything we do. Now we can put our clients’ needs ahead of everything else with confidence that everything else will follow.

I started my career at Standard Life in 1997. I was then a Director at Broadoak Group which was acquired by Chartwell in 2007 and then Close Brothers in 2010 where I stayed until 2011.

I am married to Clare and have three boys, Isaac, Jacob and Noah, My time outside work is generally dominated by sport, be it watching the boys or coaching rugby at Bristol and Gordano. I am also a very keen cyclist and like to keep fit at the gym. My favourite places are Cornwall and Ibiza.

I joined Brunel in October 2012 and manage the firm’s compliance regime, systems and controls. I provide support to the Technical Team, sit on our Investment Committee and play an integral part in the firm’s service proposition. I have a Certificate in Paraplanning and a Diploma in Financial Services. I’ve worked in financial services for 19 years and spent 12 of those years advising clients.

I am a strong advocate for comprehensive Financial Planning, core to the service proposition provided by Brunel. The firm has a very ethical culture and is a pleasant environment in which to work with very supportive colleagues.

Brunel has a strong desire to remain market leading and actively seeks change to continually refine and develop its services. In a diverse industry with significant competition, it is important to be dynamic and pursue a course of being the very best we can be.

I live with my wife Wendy and our son in my hometown, Portishead. I’ve spent over nine years volunteering as crew member at the Portishead RNLI Lifeboat Station. I enjoy long walks with my two dogs and have started coaching at the same rugby club as Damien, Gordano RFC.

I joined Brunel in June 2015. I am in charge of general operations and have a dedicated and enthusiastic technical team, who are the support behind each of our financial planners. The team works hard ensuring clients get the service they want when they need it.

I graduated with a Degree in Business Management in 2001 and moved to Bristol to start a career in financial services at Hargreaves Lansdown. I worked within the pension and annuities departments and successfully set up and managed the corporate annuities team. I then widened my financial services experience, first by managing the local sales support team in a large life assurance office and then within the compliance and operations department for a medium sized financial advisers.

My partner and I have three children, Talia, Scott and Isaac. We all love exploring the great outdoors, both in this country and abroad. We enjoy camping (often in the rain), cultural city breaks and combining our love for music while roughing it at Glastonbury.

I joined Brunel in 2014. I provide comprehensive financial planning to clients and have a particular interest in Later Life Planning. I very much enjoy helping clients identify what it is they want to do with their lives and matching their finances to support it. It’s good to work with like-minded people in a truly client-focused environment. Brunel is different because it is all about the financial planning and not about the products.

I graduated with a degree in Oceanography in 2001, and soon realised a life on the ocean waves wasn’t for me. I joined Hargreaves Lansdown and gained a wealth of experience in numerous areas of financial services, with a particular interest in financial planning for individuals. I am a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

Away from work, I enjoy a busy and adventurous lifestyle with my wife, Rhian. We both followed our dream of traveling around the world by taking an 18 month career break. We spent time exploring Central and South America, China and South East Asia, as well as New Zealand and Australia, before completing our world tour with some skiing in the French Alps.

Now settled in Bristol we’ve learned the joys of parenting with Ralph who was born in 2014. Now holidays are back on the agenda, we three have enjoyed a road tour of the United States and are thinking of skiing, hiking, surfing and wakeboarding.

I joined Brunel in 2015. I work closely with the financial planners providing technical support and liaising with clients. I am now diploma qualified in Financial Planning.

With over 10 years in the financial services industry, I have an in-depth working knowledge of pensions. After graduating with a degree in English and Drama, I joined the pensions team at Merchant Investors and went on to be team leader of SSAS (Small Self Administered Scheme) pensions at Hartley SAS.

At age six, I trekked to Everest basecamp with my family and remain a keen trekker today. I recently joined the Brunel team in trekking to Pen y Fan to raise money for one of Brunel’s chosen charities – The Alzheimer’s Society.

After spending my own childhood in Nepal and Malaysia, I have now, with my husband Paul and our two children, set up our own base camp in Bristol. I have a keen interest in charity work, running and South East Asian food.

I joined Brunel in November 2014. I am responsible for providing administrative & technical support to the Technical Analysts and the Financial Planners. I am a first point of contact for many client or industry queries received by phone or email, as well as keeping the office fully stocked with the obligatory stationery, teas and coffee.

I believe Brunel has the right approach to financial planning, as the company is particularly client focused which I believe is important in this industry. I work with a fantastic group of people, which makes the company an enjoyable place to work. I have a Certificate in Financial Planning and I am working towards a Diploma.

I graduated with a degree in Business studies in 2002 before spending a summer working in Spain and then heading off to explore parts of South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and North America. When I returned to the UK, I moved to Bristol and started my career in financial services in 2004, first working for an IFA and then a Pension & Investments provider. This was before I had the opportunity to go back to Australia and spend a couple of months working at a school and living in a remote village in Fiji, which was an incredible experience.

Now settled in Bristol again, I enjoy planning exciting trips away along with good food and wine and try to compensate for this with regular gym classes. I am a keen runner, still an adventurous traveller and a loyal Take That fan.

I joined Brunel Capital Partners in April 2015, following six months at Hargreaves Lansdown working in the SIPP department and two years at platform provider, Novia Financial working in client services.

At Brunel I am responsible for general administration including: preparing review packs, email and phone queries, submitting new business and client servicing. I am currently working towards the ‘Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning’ and have achieved three exams to date. I enjoy working for Brunel Capital Partners as it is a professional hardworking firm with a wealth of experience whose employees are passionate about financial planning. The firm has a very ethical culture and is a pleasant environment in which to work with very supportive colleagues.

When not at work I love traveling holidays, food and drink, and spending as much time as possible with those closest to me. I am looking forward to skiing for the first time this year and have a long list of places that I would like to travel to including South East Asia and South America.

I joined Brunel in February 2016. My role is report writing and compiling financial plans and generally supporting the Financial Planners in dealing with clients and researching technical queries. I make sure all information is received from clients, product providers and other third parties and pull it all together. Brunel has an excellent reputation, highly qualified staff, clear values and structure and is very supportive. I have a Diploma in Financial Planning, a Certificate in Investment Management and I am working towards Chartered Financial Planner status.

Prior to Brunel, I spent three years with platform company, Novia Financial and two years with an Independent Financial Adviser based in Somerset. I have an undergraduate Degree and a Masters in Sport Psychology from the University of Central Lancashire and Loughborough respectively.

When not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife, Helena and Pugalier dog, Layla. I enjoy reading, working on my golf, the occasional five aside football game and watching Bath Rugby. I also try to visit Iceland once or twice a year to visit family in Reykjavik. I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of Game of Thrones and can recite Π to over 20 decimal places. I am also a Newcastle United fan.

I joined Brunel in July 2015. I have a Diploma in Financial Planning, a qualification in Later Life Planning and I am working towards Chartered Financial Planner status. I enjoy keeping up to date with industry legislation and seeking out financial planning opportunities for clients creating cash flows to help clients live and maintain the lifestyle they choose. I create reports, plans, letters, spread sheets and the odd cup of tea or coffee.

Brunel has the right attitude when it comes to financial planning as the whole company is client driven which I believe is important in this industry. There is a very real relationship between each individual client and their Financial Planner, which leads to tailored and therefore better planning.

I graduated with a degree in English Literature and the Performing Arts in 2007 and then set off to explore many corners of the world with my wife Gemma including India, South America, South East Asia, Cuba and Europe. I then joined a London based Independent Financial Adviser before returning to my hometown of Bristol.

I enjoy walking with our dog Luther, playing squash, writing and going to the theatre.
